Kevin Fearon named ASCP president

Absolute Pharmacy COO to lead American Society of Consultant Pharmacists

Kevin Fearon, chief operating office of Absolute Pharmacy, has been named president of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) for 2020-21. The announcement was made during the society’s annual meeting in November.

The ASCP is an international membership association that represents pharmacists, health care professionals and students serving the unique medication needs of older adults. Its mission is to promote healthy aging by empowering pharmacists with education, resources and innovative opportunities.

Kevin joined Absolute in 2011, and has more than 30 years of experience in the institutional pharmacy field. His background reflects a wide range of experiences, giving him a diverse perspective on all aspects of senior care pharmacy.

“I understand pharmacy and business needs and use my sense of emotional intelligence to gain traction and facilitate moving people collaboratively towards a goal and common cause,” said Kevin.

It’s that sense of collaboration, as well as a deep knowledge of institutional pharmacy, that he hopes to bring to the table as ASCP president.

“I enjoy the dynamics of a rapidly changing pharmacy industry that has a surge of seniors on the horizon, amazing technology being deployed that creates an environment of constant change, and striving for improvement that is endless learning,” Kevin said.
