SPEECH THERAPY:
Through comprehensive evaluation the speech therapy staff identifies residents’ conditions associated with speech, language, hearing, cognitive and swallowing disorders. The speech pathologist plans and implements appropriate treatments assisting residents in restoring function in communication skills, swallowing abilities and cognitive rehabilitation.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY:
The occupational therapy staff works to assist residents with the physical stress associated with the aging process as well as with an acute or exacerbated illness. The goal is to maximize the resident’s ability to care for themselves in their daily living routine.

Individual assessments are accomplished to identify and then eliminate potential obstacles which may require the assistance of personalized adaptive equipment. Occupational therapy focuses on restoring and improving functions of bathing, grooming, dressing, cooking, and eating.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
With a goal to restore natural movement and optimal levels of functioning, the physical therapy staff will systematically work to resolve problem areas such as loss of muscle control, ability to ambulate or transfer and pain management.

Physical therapy restores function, relieves pain and improves mobility focusing on muscular strength and flexibility, balance coordination and endurance.
